This article will guide you on how to request storage allocations on eRI.

A project entity in ColdFront is not the same as a storage project or storage dataset.

After connecting to https://coldfront.eri.agresearch.co.nz/ and authenticating:

Requesting a project (if it doesn’t exist yet)

  1. Navigate to https://coldfront.eri.agresearch.co.nz/project/create by either selecting
    “Projects »“ on the landing page or
    using the top navigation “Project/Projects”
    and then “+ Add a project

  2. Enter a title (see Naming Conventions)

  3. Enter a description

  4. Select a “Field of science”

  5. Save the form

Requesting a resource allocation (for a project)

  1. Select “Projects »“ on the landing page

  2. Select a project from the list and click on the ‘ID’ in the row

  3. Select “+ Request Resource Allocation” from the “Allocations” section

  4. Select a “Resource” and enter a “Justification

  5. Select all or some of the users you want to have access to this resource

  6. Finally “Submit” the request

Only current project members can be selected. Project members and allocation members can be adjusted at a later stage.

Awaiting request approval

The resource allocation request will be reviewed and you will receive a notification.
